On October 18th 2024, we posted an X Roll-Call for the % of Ontario corn and soybean acres harvested up to the end of October 20th.
Soybeans are about 92% complete across the province. With areas that had planting delays in the spring about 70% complete. At this time last year, on October 15th we were about 75% complete across the province. In 2022, we were about 90% completed.
Corn is well underway in most areas, with an estimated 19% complete. Some that started earlier are reporting they have finished, while others are stilling waiting for dry down with corn hovering at 30% moisture. In 2023, we were approximately 1% complete with corn harvest. In 2022, on October 16th, we were also just starting corn harvest.
Will conduct our next poll on Friday November 1st for harvest completed up to Sunday, November 3rd. Thank you for your participation!
