On Friday May 2nd, 2025, we posted an X Roll-Call for the % of Ontario corn and soybean acres planted up to the end of Sunday May 4th, 2025.

Soybeans - farmers have tested the planter or drill on limited acres in some areas with others still in the bag. With all respondents reporting we are about 4% complete.

Corn - planting has been advancing rather quickly with an expected 23% complete as of Sunday, May 4th. Good progress has been made on lighter texture and higher elevation soils, which is typical Ontario springs.

This was our first roll call for the 2025 cropping season, and we look forward to your participation in future polls. These maps are built with data from both X survey participants and from our Cropwalker group of field observers.

Our next roll-call will be Friday, May 16th.
