On Friday May 30th, 2025, we posted an X Roll-Call for the % of Ontario corn and soybean acres planted up to the end of Sunday June 1st, 2025.

Soybeans - A few areas (Lambton, Haldimand, Niagara and counties bordering Lake Ontario) continue to receive frequent rains, hampering ability to plant/drill soybeans, hopefully these acres can catch some sun and wind to allow them to finish. Overall estimate we are 80% complete as a province.

Corn - continue to see progress on this front, with some farmers reporting that they have finished planting but not all intended acres have been planted. Some of the same areas trying to finish soybean planting are also working on trying to finish up corn. Overall estimate we are 93% complete.

This was our 3rd roll call for the 2025 cropping season, and we look forward to your participation in future polls. These maps are built with data from both X survey participants and from our Cropwalker group of field observers.

Our next roll-call will focus on herbicide use in soybeans.

Thank you to FMC for sponsoring our 2025 planting progress reports.
