On Friday May 8th, 2025, we posted an X Roll-Call for the % of Ontario corn and soybean acres planted up to the end of Sunday May 10th, 2025.

Soybeans - farmers have tested the planter or drill on limited acres in some areas with others still in the bag. With all respondents reporting we are about 9% complete.

Corn - planting has been advancing rather quickly with an expected 35% complete as of Sunday, May 10th. Good progress has been made on lighter texture and higher elevation soils, which is typical for Ontario springs.

We had one respondent from Lennox + Addington, which replied they were 100% complete on both corn and soybeans. If you are from that area, please participate in our next survey.

This was our first roll call for the 2026 cropping season, and we look forward to your participation in future polls. These maps are built with data from both X survey participants and from our Cropwalker group of field observers.

Our next roll-call will be Friday, May 15th.

Thank you to FMC for sponsoring our 2026 planting progress reports.
