This crop progress update is based upon an October 11th, 2019 Twitter roll call. For this harvest poll, we surveyed the percentage of acres Ontario soybean growers had harvested by Sunday, October 13th.

Over the past week, a significant number of acres have been harvested, with growers in some counties reporting they have finished. Using a weighted average method (based upon 2018 acres by county), we estimate as of October 13th, Ontario harvest is 49 to 59% complete. Areas that were later in planting are still waiting on the majority of acres to finish maturing.

Additional note; Thank you to the reply from Emo, ON, who reported that soybean harvest hasn't started in the Rainy River district.
