This is a crop progress update based upon a Twitter roll call on June 8th, 2019.

First off, thank you to the poll participants and the Certified Crop Advisers that make these maps possible.

The average of all corn planting responses was 85% complete, compared to 53% the week before. Using a weighted average based upon 2018 corn acres by county, 79% complete is the number for this week. Last week, 57% was calculated as the provincial number.

Soybean planting responses averaged 61% complete, compared to 24% the week before. Using the weighted average method, based upon 2018 acres by county, 55% complete is the number for this week. Using this method, 27% complete was the number the week before.

Best of luck on the 2019 cropping season, whether you are just getting started, or, have just finished up.

Not all areas within a given county may be active or at the same pace, best efforts were made to aggregate the data and compare results with a local Certified Crop Adviser.
